heating. Therefore scale removal from the hot water storage tank has to be carried out
every two years. Do not use a sharp metal object or acid to remove the scale deposited on
the heat exchanger, the closing cover and its fittings. Use commercially sold cleaning and
descaling agents. You can remove scale from the inside of the tank through the fitting
hole manually. You should flush the tank with water jet after descaling.
To avoid frost damages
If the temperature may fall below zero in the room where the hot water storage tank is
placed, the heating of the storage tank cannot be switched off in the frost hazardous
period, or the storage tank has to be drained.
Water drainage
ATTENTION! WHEN DRAINING WATER, HOT WATER MAY LEAK.
Water drainage of the storage tank happens through the discharge valve (tap) mounted in
front of the hot water storage tank, or through the combined safety valve (by turning the
knob in the direction indicated by the arrow). Before draining, close the closing valve in
the pipeline, and the cold water valve of the faucets. At the same time, open the hot water
valve of one of the faucets, and keep it open until draining is finished. Refilling happens
as described above.
