The M.2 connectors on the motherboard support only M.2 PCIe SSDs.

•• Installing the M.2 rubber padj:
a. When using a double-sided M.2 SSD, attach the thick rubber pad to the recommended placement
area as shown below.
b. When using a single-sided M.2 SSD, first stick the thin rubber pad to the thick rubber pad, and then
attach them to the recommended placement area as shown below.

Avoid contacting any chips or IC components on the motherboard when attaching the rubber pads.
Follow the steps below to correctly install an M.2 SSD in the M.2 connector.
M2A_CPU:
Step 1: Use a screwdriver to unfasten the screw on the heatsink.
Step 2: Insert the M.2 SSD into the M.2 connector at an angle. Press down on the front end of the M.2
SSD. Remove the protective film from the thermal pad on the bottom of the heatsink. Then replace
the heatsink and secure it to the original hole.
M2P_SB:
Step 1: Locate the proper mounting hole for the M.2 SSD to be installed and then install the M.2 EZ-Latch
Plus clip first.
Step 2: Insert the M.2 SSD into the M.2 connector at an angle. Press down on the front end of the M.2
SSD and make sure the M.2 SSD is secured by the M.2 EZ-Latch Plus clip.
