∙∙Do not cover or block the steam ventilation opening at the lid.
Open the lid slowly, that the condense water can drain into
the condense water container!
∙∙Never use the appliance without lid.
Cleaning:
∙∙
Never immerse the complete appliance into the water.
∙∙Unplug the power cord from the socket and put the switch to
“Off”
∙∙The appliance must cool down completely.
∙∙Remove the inner pot and clean it with a mild detergent (Do
not use any aggressive cleaner, like steel wool.).
∙∙Clean the heating plate and the contact area of the thermostat
at the outer pot with a damp cloth, take care that the thermo-
stat gets not deformed.
∙∙Clean the inside of the lid and the drip collector box at the
hindge and dry it completely.
∙∙Do not damage the sealing ring of the lid during cleaning.
Danger of foam: Never put egg, milk, cream or similar to the rice. Else there could be foam during cooking.
Working place:
Important: The appliance must never be placed on or next to a hot surface (e.g. hot
plate). The appliance must only be used on a flat, stable and temperature resisting
surface. It must be taken care that there are no inflammable things near to the appli-
ance.
Due to the escaping steam it must be taken care that there is no damage to any woo-
den cupboards hanging over the appliance.
Cleaning before the first use:
∙∙All accessories and the inner pot should be removed and cleaned with a mild deter-
gent.
∙∙Dry all parts carefully.
∙∙Clean the lid and the outer housing with a damp cloth
