Wired LAN

To access the Internet at home, set up an account with an Internet service provider (ISP). Contact a local ISP.

• Some features or procedures may differ depending on the model.

• These descriptions are written for Windows 11, so some figures and descriptions

may differ from your operating system. Since the procedures for other Windows operating systems are similar, use the computer referring to these descriptions.

Wired LAN

1 Connect a LAN cable to the LAN port on the computer.

) → All → Windows Tools → Control Panel.

2 Select the Start icon (

3 Select Network and Internet → Network and Sharing Center → Change adapter

settings.

4 Right-click Ethernet and select Properties.

The LAN device name may differ depending on the computer’s network device.

5 Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) from the list below This connection

uses the following items → Properties.

• The Network Component name may differ depending on the operating system.

• To add a network item such as a client, service, or protocol, select Install... under

the list of network items.

6 Configure the IP settings.

• When using DHCP, select Obtain an IP address automatically.

• When not using DHCP, contact the network administrator for the IP address. To

use a static IP address, select Use the following IP address and set the IP address manually. 7 Select OK to save the settings.
