Problem
Cause
Remedy
1. The built-in battery
charge is depleted.
1. Charge the tool.
Tool does not work.
2. The tool is locked.
2. Unlock the tool by
pressing the lock-off
button until the lock-off
indicator goes off.
3. The tool is being
charged.
3. Disconnect the USB-C
power cable for the tool.
1. The built-in battery
charge is depleted.
1. Charge the tool.
The tool stops working
during operation.
2. The torque setting is
insufficient.
2. Increase the torque
setting.
During operation the
LED work light rapidly
flashes.
The tool becomes
overloaded or too hot.
Rest the tool for a while or
place the tool under airflow
for cooling.
The battery charge is
low.
Charge the tool.
During operation the
LED work light flashes
more slowly.
1. Wrong USB-C
charging cable used.
1. Use only included USB-C
charging cable or other
certificated USB charging
cables.
The battery/torque
indicator does not flash
during charging.
2. The built-in battery is
damaged.
2. Have the tool serviced
by an Authorized SKIL
Service Station.
3. Surrounding air
temperature is too
hot or too cold.
3. Move the tool to an
environment with
appropriate temperature
for charging.
The built-in battery is
briefly
over-temperature.
This is normal. The tool
will automatically resume
charging after a period of
time.
During charging the
middle battery/torque
indicator LED goes off,
the other two LEDs
flash simultaneously.
Bit cannot be installed.
Bit does not fit the 1/4’’
hex bit holder.
Use suitable bit or adaptor.
