Image is too small
or too large.
Projector is too far from or too
close to the screen.
Move the projector

The zoom is not set
correctly.
Press the Zoom + or – buttons to adjust the zoom.
Image is too dark
ECO mode is enabled
Check if the projector is in the Forced ECO mode because the ambient
temperature is too high.
Image is blurry
Focus is not set correctly.
Use the focus ring to adjust the focus.
Image is blurry
Projector is too close or too
far from the screen.
Ensure that the distance between the projector and screen is within the
adjustment range of the lens.
Image is blurry
Smudge or condensation on
the lens.
Clean the lens. Condensation may form on the lens if the projector is cold,
brought into a warm place, and turned on.
Image is scrolling
or flickering.
Source resolution and/or
frequency is not supported.
Make sure that the source’s resolution and frequency are supported by the
projector.
12.4 SOLVING VIDEO, AUDIO AND REMOTE CONTROL ISSUES
The following table provides solutions for potential video, audio, and remote control issues.

Video is frozen
The Freeze button has been
pressed.
Press the Freeze button on the remote to unfreeze the video.
Video is
stretched
16:9 (wide) source is setup
incorrectly.
Ensure the source is set to use the 16:9 (wide) display format.
Video is

Letterbox (LBX) source is
setup incorrectly.
Use the On Screen Display (OSD) menu to set the aspect ratio to LBX.
Video is
stretched
4:3 source is setup
incorrectly.
Use the On Screen Display (OSD) menu to set the aspect ratio to 4:3.
No audio
Projector is muted.
Press the Mute button to unmute the projector.
No audio
Volume setting is too low.
Press the volume + button to increase the volume.
No audio
Source cable is not
connected.
Ensure the source cable is securely connected to the projector and source
device.
No audio
Source is muted.
Ensure the source has not been muted.
Remote does not
work.
Batteries expired.
Install new batteries.
Remote does not
work.
Batteries installed incorrectly.
Remove and reinstall the batteries.
Remote does not
work.
Remote is too far from
projector.
The remote should be within 16.4 feet (5m) of the projector.
Remote does not
work.
IR receiver cannot detect
remote.
Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the projector’s
IR receiver. Ensure the operating angle of the remote control is within ±20°
to the projector’s IR receiver. Ensure there are no fluorescent light sources
shining on the projector’s IR receiver.

12.5 SERVICING
Servicing is required when the projector has been damaged, exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally,
or has been dropped. All servicing and repairs should be performed by an authorized InFocus representative.
