Q1. I cannot log in to the web UI of the extender/repeater. What should I do?
A1.
-If you are using a wireless client, such as a smartphone:
•Ensure that your smartphone has connected to the Wi-Fi network of the extender/repeater.
Before extending: The default Wi-Fi name (SSID) is labeled on your extender/repeater.
After extending: Stay near your extender/repeater. Reconnect the extender/repeater's Wi-Fi by referring to Connect clients to
the internet.
•Ensure that the Mobile Data (if any) function is disabled.
-If you are using a wired client, such as a computer:
•Ensure that your computer is set to Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically.
•Ensure that you enter re.tenda.cn or 192.168.0.254 in the address bar (not searching bar) of the browser.
-If the problem persists, reset the extender/repeater, and then log in again.
Q2. The extender/repeater cannot find the Wi-Fi network of my Wi-Fi router. What should I do?
A2.
-Ensure that your smartphone can detect the Wi-Fi network of your Wi-Fi router.
-Change the channel of your Wi-Fi router, and try again.
-Change the encryption type of the Wi-Fi router to WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK or WPA3-SAE (only for Wi-Fi 6 extender/repeater) and try
again.
Q3. I cannot find the Wi-Fi name of the extender after extending network successfully. What should I do?
A3. The possible reason is that you did not customize the extender Wi-Fi name when extending the network. In this case, the Wi-Fi
name of the extender is the same as the upstream Wi-Fi router after the extension is successful.
