Switching on:
Press on / off switch 10.
Switching off:
Release the on / off switch 10.
•• Mount / replace an accessory.
•• Rotate the quill of gear rim chuck 17 clockwise with
your hand in order to lock the accessory mounted. Do
not allow the accessory to become distorted.
Design features of the power tool
•• Tighten the cams of gear rim chuck 17 with drill
chuck key 20 applying a similar torque to each of the
three openings on the side surface of the chuck.
Brushless motor
Power tool equipped with a brushless motor that pro
vides the following advantages (compared to the pow
er tool having a brush motor):

Temperature protection
The power tool is supplied with a partially charged
battery 12. Before the first use, the battery 12 must
be fully charged.
Charging process (see fig. 9, 12)
•• Press the battery lock 13 and remove the battery 12
(see fig. 9.1, 12.1).
The temperature protection system enables to auto
matically deactivate the power tool in case of excess
load or when the temperature of the battery 12 is ex
ceeding 70°C. The system guarantees protection of
the power tool from damage in case of noncompliance
with the operation conditions.
Overdischarge protection
•• Connect the charger 16 to the power supply.
•• Insert battery 12 into charger 16 (see fig. 9.2, 12.2).
•• Disconnect the charger 16 from power supply after
charging.
•• Remove the battery 12 from the charger 16 and
mount battery 12 in the power tool (see fig. 9.3, 12.3).
Charger indicators (see fig. 10, 13)
The battery 12 is protected by the safety system
against deep discharge. In case of complete dis
charge, the power tool is automatically switched off.
Attention: do not try to switch on the power tool
when the protection system is activated the bat
tery 12 can be damaged.
Charger indicators 22 and 23 inform of the battery 12
charging process. Signals of the indicators 22 and 23
are shown on the label 21 (see fig. 10, 13).
Indicators of the state of battery charge (see
fig. 11, 14)
•• Fig. 10.1, 13.1 - (the green indicator 23 is on, the
battery 12 is not inserted in the charger 16) - the
charger 16 is connected to the power network (ready
for charging).
With the push of the button 14 the indicators 15 show
the state of charge of the battery 12 (see fig. 11, 14).
Overheating protection
•• Fig. 10.2, 13.2 - (the green indicator 23 is blinking,
the battery 12 is inserted in the charger 16) - the bat
tery 12 is being charged.
•• Fig. 10.3, 13.3 - (the green indicator 23 is on, the
battery 12 is inserted in the charger 16) - the battery 12
is fully charged.
Overheating protection system of the engine automati
cally switches off the power tool in case of overheat
ing. In this situation, let the tool cool before turning the
power tool on again.
Overload protection
•• Fig. 10.4, 13.4 - (the red indicator 22 is on, the bat
tery 12 is inserted in the charger 16) - the charging
process of the battery 12 is terminated due to inappro
priate temperature. When the temperature conditions
are normal, the process of charging will resume.
Overload protection system of the engine automati
cally switches off the power tool when it is operated
in a manner that causes it to draw an abnormally high
current.
•• Fig. 10.5, 13.5 - (the red indicator 22 is blinking, the
battery 12 is inserted in the charger 16) - the charging
process of the battery 12 is terminated because of its
failure. Replace the faulty battery 12, its further use is
prohibited.
Soft start
In the process of charging the battery 12
and the charger 16 become hot, it is a
normal process.
Soft start enables smooth start of power tools - the
spindle is being run up gradually with no jerks and
kickbacks; no jump-like load is imposed on the motor
upon switching.
Break rundown
Switching the power tool on / off
Make sure that the reverse switch 11 is not cen
tred, this blocks on / off switch 10.
Break rundown stops the spindle of the power tool
within 2 seconds after the power tool is turned off.
