Cutting marks (see fig. 7)
• Cutting mark 13 shows saw blade 3 position during
vertical cutting (see fig. 7.1).
• Cutting mark 12 shows saw blade 3 position during
cutting at 45° angle (see fig. 7.2).

Make trial sawing to avoid errors.

• avoid bending during mounting;
• before mounting saw blade 3, make sure that the
mounting opening diameter fits the diameter of the
projected parts of internal flange 23;
• arrow direction marked on saw blade 3 should coin
cide with arrow direction on guard cover 2;
• mount external flange 5 with bevel edge outwards.
• Put sliding guard cover 15 to its initial position.
• Press and hold spindle lock 7 and tighten bolt 4 with
wrench 21. Release spindle lock 7.

Sawing (see fig. 8)

Initial operation of the power tools

Always use the correct supply voltage: the power sup
ply voltage must match the information quoted on the
power tool identification plate.

The efficiency and the quality of cutting
operations depends on the state and the
form of saw blade 3 teeth, therefore prop-
er selection of saw blade is extremely im
portant depending on the material being
processed and the type of works being
performed.

Switching the power tool on / off

Switching on:
In order to switch on the power tool, push lock-off but
ton 18 and while holding it in position, push on / off
switch 6.
Switching off:
In order to switch off the power tool, release on / off
switch 6.

Dust suction during the

power tool operation

• Make sure that the work piece is safely fixed face
down, because the quality of bottom cutting edge is
always better.
• Switch on the power tool before saw blade 3 touches
the work piece. Let saw blade 3 gain maximal rotating
speed.
• Smoothly move the power tool forward without bend
ing or pushing.
• Never press the tool - sawing requires certain time.
Extra pressure will overload the power tool rather than
facilitate the operation.
• Use additional supports when cutting large sheets
(chipboards, etc.) to avoid bending and possible saw
blade 3 blocking (see fig. 7).

Cutting with parallel guide (see fig. 9-10)

Dust suction allows reducing dust concentra
tion in the air and prevents its accumulation
at the workplace. While operating the power
tool, always use a vacuum cleaner suitable
for collecting process-generated dust.

If vacuum cleaner adapter 25 is included in delivery set,
use it to connect the vacuum cleaner to the power tool.

Recommendations on the

Parallel guide 22 enables cutting along existing direct
work piece edge, and producing equally wide stripes.
• Loosen fixing screw 11 of parallel guide 22 (see fig. 9).
• Move parallel guide 22 to set a required work piece
width.
• Tighten fixing screw 11 of parallel guide 22.
Similar results can be reached by attach
ing a board to a work part with screw
clamps and using such board as a sec
ondary limit stop. Perform sawing by
moving power tool along the limit stop
while pressing the side of base plate 10 to
the side of the board (see fig. 10).

Design features of the

power tool operation
Cutting depth setting (see fig. 4)
Before starting the operation, adjust sawing depth de
pending on the work piece thickness. The best cutting
edge quality is achieved when the projected part of
saw blade 3 does not exceed tooth height.
• Loosen fixing lever 20 (see fig. 4.1).
• Set required cutting depth, lifting or lowering the pow
er tool body (see fig. 4.2).
• Tighten fixing lever 20 (see fig. 4.3).

power tool

HKSP15-61 S HKSP 18-67
Soft start
Soft start (limiting system of starting current) enables
smooth start of power tools - the disc is being run up
gradually with no jerks and kickbacks; no jump-like
load is imposed on the motor upon switching.

Cutting angle setting (see fig. 5)
The power tool enables smooth cutting angle adjust
ment within 0°- 45° range.
• Loosen two fixing nuts 9 (see fig. 5.1).
• Set required cutting angle on scale 8, changing pow
er tool body inclination angle (see fig. 5.2).
• Tighten two fixing nuts 9.

Power tool maintenance /

preventive measures

Mounting dismounting operations(see fig.6)
1) Installation and removal of vacuum cleaner adapter.
2) Attention: vacuum cleaner.

Before carrying out any works on the power tool it
must be disconnected from the mains.
