VROC Key header
The VROC (Virtual Raid on CPU) Key header allows you to connect a VROC
hardware key to enable additional CPU RAID functions with Intel® VROC.
Chapter 1
The VROC hardware key is purchased separately.
VROC specifications may vary depending on the VROC hardware key purchased,
please refer to the table below for the different specifications:

SATA RAID supports RAID 0/1/5/10 but cannot be used in a mixed RAID configuration with NVMe.
Also take note of the following regarding the VMD Domain in the VROC software:
•
Bootable RAID can only be created in the same VMD Domain.
•
Data RAID can be created across different VMD Domains.
•
All PCIe coming from the PCH is categorized in the same VMD Domain, and
bootable RAID can be created with them; for example, you can create a RAID0
configuration and install an OS with PCIe storage devices connected to the
SLIMSAS_1, SLIMSAS_2, and M.2_3 slots/connectors.
