[ON]/[OFF]
[Direct Connection
Password]
This setting controls whether or not a password is required when you directly connect this unit and a
smartphone to start remote operations or to use the Wireless Twin/Multi-Camera function.
≥If you select [OFF], you can directly connect this unit and a smartphone without entering the
password for this unit’s SSID into the smartphone.
≥If you select [OFF], you cannot set up a connection with [WPS Connection] or [QR code].
Set up a connection by setting this unit’s SSID on the smartphone. (l 158, 188, 192)
≥The default setting is [ON]. If you perform [Reset Wi-Fi Settings], the default setting will be
restored. (l 45, 183)
[Wireless Sub Camera]
You can use this unit as a Wireless Sub Camera.

≥This function is not available when [REC FORMAT] is set to [24p].
[ECONOMY (Wi-Fi)]
[ON]/[OFF]
If you set [ON], the LCD monitor turns off when remotely operating this unit with a smartphone (in
Motion Picture Recording Mode or Still Picture Recording Mode) so that power consumption is
reduced.
≥The power consumption of this unit may increase if this is set to [OFF].
≥When the LCD monitor is turned off, you can display the screen by touching it.
≥If the Wi-Fi connection is turned off, this unit will turn off automatically approximately 15 minutes
later.
≥This unit will not turn off automatically in the following case even if [ECONOMY (Wi-Fi)] is set to
[ON]:
