Wake on Magic Packet

The Wake on Magic Packet property specifies a condition when the
adapter wakes up from a low-power mode. The adapter wakes up when
relieving a Magic Packet, if the Wake on Magic Packet and PCI PME
properties are enabled.

Note
Even when you set the Wake on Magic Packet property to Enable,
the adapter stays in a low-power mode if the PCI PME property is
disabled. The Wake on Magic Packet property only specifies the
condition. To activate the WOL function to wake up the adapter, you
must enable the PCI PME property. See “PCI PME” on page 65.

To enable or disable the Wake on Magic Packet property, do the following:

1.
Access the Advanced Properties.

See “Accessing Advanced Properties” on page 60.

2.
Select Wake on Magic Packet in the Property box.

The Wake on Magic Packet page is displayed as shown in Figure 40.
