Note: Lithium-ion rechargeable batteries are supplied partially charged according to in-
ternational transport regulations. To ensure full rechargeable battery capacity, fully
charge the rechargeable battery before using your tool for the first time.
To charge the battery, connect the USB charging socket to the power supply via the USB
cable. Plug the power supply into a plug socket.
u Do not continue to apply pressure to the spindle after the power tool has auto-
matically switched itself off. This can damage the battery.
u Do not continue to press the On/Off switch after the power tool has automatic-
ally switched off. The battery can be damaged.
The battery charge indicator (8) is also the worklight. The display shows the charging
progress. During the charging procedure, the indicator flashes. When the battery is
charged, the battery charge indicator (8) lights up continuously.
During the charging process, the handle of the power tool will heat up. This is normal. If
you are not planning to use the power tool again soon, disconnect the charger from the
mains. The power tool cannot be used during the charging process. It is not defective if it
does not work during the charging process. Follow the instructions on correct disposal.
Changing the Screwdriver Bit
Inserting the screwdriver bit
Do not use screwdriver bit other than 1/4" hexagon bits.
– Pull the sleeve of the bit holder (2) up and slide the screwdriver bit down into the in-
ternal hexagon of the bit holder (2).
– Once the bit is in, release the sleeve of the bit holder (2) to lock the screwdriver bit.
Removing the screwdriver bit
– Pull the sleeve of the bit holder (2) up and pull the screwdriver bit out, using pliers if
necessary.

Setting the rotational direction (see figure B)
u Do not use the rotational direction switch (5) when the power tool is in opera-
tion, as this may damage it.
Clockwise rotation: To drive in screws, slide the rotational direction switch (5) for-
wards.
