After the configuration is completed, the SIM card is protected by PIN lock.

14.1.4 Use PUK code to set PIN code

If you fail to enter PIN code for three times, you must use PUK code to reset the PIN code. Contact
your ISP for the PUK code. Otherwise the SIM card will be locked permanently after you enter the
wrong PUK code for 10 times. And then you can set a new PIN code for the SIM card.
