Description
Failover
Used to enable or disable the failover function.
Specifies how your router connects to the internet, including:

PPPoE: Select this type if you access the internet using the PPPoE user name and
PPPoE password.
Connection Type

Dynamic IP Address: Select this type if you can access the internet by simply
plugging in an Ethernet cable.

Static IP Address: Select this type if you want to access the internet using fixed IP
information.
IP Address
When static IP address is chosen as the connection type, enter the fixed IP address
information provided by your ISP.
Subnet Mask
Default Gateway
If your ISP only provides one DNS server, you can leave the secondary DNS server
Primary DNS Server
blank.
Secondary DNS Server
VLAN ID
Used to enable or disable the VLAN ID according to the actual network
environments. When the function is enabled, the VLAN ID is required to enter.
Consult your ISP for this parameter. The value range is 1 to 4094.
5.3 Set failover connection
5.3.1 Overview
By configuring the failover function, you can set parameters of the internet connection mode other
than the current one. If there is a network failure, the router will automatically switch to an
available internet connection mode, therefore ensuring an uninterrupted internet access for clients
under the router.
Before setting the failover function, ensure that you insert a SIM card into the router, and connect the WAN
port of the router to the internet at the same time.
To access the page, log in to the web UI of the router, navigate to Internet Settings, and locate the
Failover Settings part. This function is disabled by default.
