Open and Edit Files on Your Phone Using Apps on the PC
After Screen sharing is enabled between your phone and PC, you can use an app on the PC
to open and edit files on your phone, such as in the following situations.
• Documents: Use Microsoft Office on your PC to open a document.
• Pictures: Use Photoshop on your PC to open a picture.
• Audio and video files: Use Windows Media Player to open an audio or video file.
• Web pages: Use IE browser on your PC to open a web page.
• Compressed files: Use WinRAR on your PC to extract and open compressed files.
Ensure that Honor PC Manager 10.1 or later has been installed on the PC.
User Sidecar to connect your PC and phone
Sidecar can establish connections between the PC and the phone to extend and
complement screen capabilities and share app ecologies. Combine the phone's touch
screen support and good mobility with the PC's software ecologies to create a superb
office experience.
Connect the computer and phone

Turn on
,
, and Honor PC Manager on your PC and
,
on your phone.
2 In Honor PC Manager, select Screen sharing > Project PC to tablet & foldable phone,
and click the device you want to connect to among the available devices.
3 Click the corresponding phone device name in the device list and complete the
connection according to the prompts on the interface.
Once connected successfully, you can switch between Mirror mode, Extend mode and
Share mode in Screen sharing, and switch the audio channel in Audio output device.
This feature is only supported when the phone screen is unfolded. When the phone is in lock
screen or sleep mode, the device cannot be searched.
Mirror mode
After the phone is connected to the computer, click Screen sharing > Mirror mode in
Honor PC Manager and select Mirror mode.
Click Mirror mode > Display settings and select the position of the phone sidebar in
Sidebar position.
In Mirror mode, the computer and phone content are displayed synchronously, with the
computer content on the phone appearing in a layout similar to that of the computer
desktop.
Extend mode
After the phone is connected to the computer, click Screen sharing > Extend mode in
Honor PC Manager and select Extend mode.
