Setting up and using a PIN on your watch
Protect your data by setting a six-digit PIN on your watch. When a PIN is enabled, your watch automatically locks when
removed from your wrist and requires the PIN to unlock. This helps ensure that even if your watch is lost or stolen,
unauthorized users cannot access your personal information. Additionally, the PIN protects the USB connection to a
computer, allowing you to safely charge your watch on any computer while controlling data transfer between devices.
Note that for the watch to detect whether you are wearing it, the Continuous Heart Rate feature must be turned on:
l When the Continuous Heart Rate feature is turned On, the watch can detect whether you are wearing it using skin
contact detection. After entering the PIN while wearing the watch, you won't need to enter it again as long as skin
contact is detected. The watch will automatically lock when it no longer detects skin contact. For optimal skin
contact detection, ensure you are wearing the watch correctly.
l When the Continuous Heart Rate feature is turned Off or Night-time only, skin contact detection is not available. In
this case, the watch will lock when the backlight turns off.
Setting a PIN on your watch
You can set a PIN during setup or later via Settings > Data & security > Set PIN. Choose a six-digit PIN and re-enter it to
confirm.
Once a PIN is set, you will find options to change or turn it off in the Data & security menu. The current PIN is required to
change or turn it off.
